Fur Dixon and Steve Werner

Fur Dixon and Steve Werner

Fur Dixon and Steve Werner are the Traveling American Folksingers you've been saving a spot in your Ipod for. For over eight years now they’ve been yodeling and harmonizing their own brand of California Folk music into the hearts of the American West.

They have headlined the Legendary McCabes Guitar Shop, the Getty Center Concert Series, Topanga Banjo Fiddle Contest and Folk Festival, Tucson Folk Festival, Peter Strauss Ranch Summer Concert Series, Bluegrass at the Braemar, Ojai Concert Series, Underwood Farms Folk Festival, Friends of Bodie Days and more.

When they roll into your town, Fur and Steve welcome old friends and new friends alike into their world of back roads, blue skies tumbleweeds and campfires, and of course they always, always welcome you to sing along.

“Fur and Steve are REAL treasures of modern Americana music. They write songs that are true classics of cowboy twang and feel-good road adventure.
—Susie Glaze, the Voice of Southern California Bluegrass

“Fur and Steve make fantastic country-soaked folk songs about big highways, big heartbreak, the lure of home and the love of friends. It's impossible not to be charmed. Besides, how can you resist a woman called Fur?”
—Lonesome Music, UK

“Their rootsy folk and country duets are unbeatable, honest and true.”
—Rootstime, Belgium

So many great tunes and poetic images, kind of a cross between Whitman and Charles Bukowski and Flaco Jimenez. So totally American: traveling and loss and pain and hope-- great themes and a great album.
—Gus Garelick, KRCB Radio, Santa Rosa, CA
